The Future of Facility Management

This question taken from closing keynote speaker Jonas Ridderstrale.

The business world of today is marked by enormous levels of uncertainty. As a company or an executive you either try to reduce change or produce change. In reality there is only one choice. Success boils down to surprising your customers and competitors—amazing your customers and staggering your competitors. By using your competence to analyze the internal and external context of your organization, you can envision the future and pioneer new territory—challenging other businesses and individuals to progress and change. What surprises do you envision in facility management in the next five years?

It’s Just Uncommon Sense!

This question taken from closing keynote speaker Chip Heath.

Common sense isn’t sticky—you’ve got to find the uncommon sense in your message. When we hear something that surprises us, or something we wouldn’t have predicted, it grabs our attention. Keep in mind – people will remember your stories, not your advice. When have you told a story or used an uncommon sense message effectively?
