FAQs for First-Time World Workplace Attendees
How many people will attend this conference?
IFMA expects more than 5,000 conference attendees, exhibitors, spouses and guests to participate in all or part of the conference.
Tell me about all the educational sessions.
There will be 83 different educational presentations and round table discussions by more than 300 manufacturers from across the globe at IFMA’s World Workplace 2008. They will run concurrently, meaning that 11-12 may be going on at any one time. As a full or limited event registrant, you may attend as many as you are able. Always wear your name badge and try to get to the sessions early, both out of courtesy to the speaker and because many popular sessions fill up quickly and must be closed to late-comers due to safety restrictions.
How do I get credit for sessions I attend?
All education sessions offered at IFMA’s World Workplace Annual Conference and Convention are eligible for IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs), AIA LU’s, IIDA CEUs, AFE CEUs and CFM Maintenance Points.
To receive credit for any of the CEUs listed above, you will need to:
- Record the CEU security code that is read by the session moderator at the beginning of each educational session you attend. There is a session scorecard at the back of the conference directory that will allow you to keep track.
- Visit the CEU manager kiosks in the registration area at end of each session. If you depart World Workplace 2008 without entering your session into the CEU kiosk, you will not receive credit for attending that session. IFMA will not know that you attended the session unless you enter your session codes into the kiosk! IFMA cannot make changes to your records after the close of World Workplace 2008.
- You will receive credit for only ONE education session during each time frame, therefore once a session code is entered for a time slot that is the session that will be on your record.
